Refund & Cancellation Policy
Clear boundaries for studio work, recurring access, and purchases made directly through DRKNYT.
Scope
This policy applies to purchases made directly through drknyt.com unless a product-specific agreement, statement of work, or order form states different terms.

Before work begins
- Studio services are scope-first. DRKNYT confirms fit, deliverables, timing, ownership, and payment terms in writing before accepting payment.
- For Project Direction and Product Reality Review, you may request a full refund before DRKNYT begins the scheduled work.
- If a signed statement of work or order form contains different cancellation terms, that agreement controls for that engagement.
Project Direction
- Once the working session begins, the charge is non-refundable except where required by law or when DRKNYT does not deliver the agreed written decision brief.
- Please contact us as early as possible if you need to reschedule. A new date depends on current studio capacity.
Product Reality Review
- Once review work begins, the charge is non-refundable except where required by law or when DRKNYT does not deliver the agreed review scope.
- A Product Reality Review is a diagnostic deliverable. Remediation, implementation, security testing, and compliance work are separate unless the written scope says otherwise.
Prototype and build engagements
- Prototype Sprint and Build Partnership payment milestones, reservation terms, delivery conditions, and cancellation rights are defined in the accepted statement of work before payment.
- Canceling a Build Partnership stops future approved cycles; work already completed or underway in the current approved cycle is not automatically refundable.
- If DRKNYT ends an engagement before earning a prepaid amount, we will return the unearned portion unless the signed agreement or applicable law requires a different result.
LabPass and recurring access
- LabPass is currently an invitation-only beta. Public recurring membership sales remain off while access, billing, and the member catalog are verified.
- For any active recurring subscription, cancellation stops future renewals. Unless access is suspended for safety, abuse, or a terms violation, paid access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges, and charges for access DRKNYT could not provide because of a documented service issue, are eligible for review and refund.
How to request help
- Email lab@drknyt.com from the address used for the purchase and include the receipt or invoice number, the offer or product name, and a short description of the issue.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Posting time depends on Stripe, your bank, or your card issuer.
- Product-specific physical goods, licenses, or services may have separate delivery, return, or replacement terms shown on that product's surface before purchase.
