Understand and question
Make a difficult situation understandable. Keep claims connected to evidence, ask consequential questions and make room for correction.
DRKNYT / Advocacy
More tools. More ability.
More control over your life.
Money, knowledge, time and access can change what a person is able to do.
We exist to help people facing an unequal fight gain the tools, methods and support to understand their situation, communicate, participate and act with greater control.
Human purpose and artificial intelligence, working together to make help practical and accessible.
The test of useful work
A clear account of what happened. Evidence you can inspect. A question that reaches the right person. A tool that makes an important task manageable.
Those are meaningful results. The person keeps control of their story and the next step they choose.
Where we are developing the work
These are development areas. We are not currently offering legal representation, clinical care or emergency assistance.
Make a difficult situation understandable. Keep claims connected to evidence, ask consequential questions and make room for correction.
Develop written routes, learning resources and practical ways to organize information, express a need and take part.
Explore tools for debt and legal preparation, care access and public-service navigation, with appropriate human expertise and operating partners.
Create and test methods that give people and community organizations more ability while preserving control over their information and choices.
Community Builds / In development
A useful idea should not require
a polished technical proposal.
We are developing a small program for individuals, community groups and nonprofits who face barriers to obtaining useful technology.
The answer might be a simpler process, an accessible resource, an existing tool or a carefully scoped build. Selection would consider practical benefit, barriers to access and whether we can fund delivery and ongoing support.
We will publish available places, the decision process, costs, support arrangements and privacy information before accepting requests.
Receiving help will not require a public testimonial, disclosure of a personal story or political agreement.
The way we work
Case notes / Public-service design
A November 2, 2026 review of Michigan’s unemployment homepage: what the transition notice says, what a separate checklist adds, and how the page could better serve someone facing a deadline.

Paid products and client work can support dependable delivery and make room for public-benefit projects. We want selected tools, educational resources and methods to become a useful commons, with clear access and reuse terms.
We will state who is responsible, what is funded and what remains in development. Community Builds is not currently a charitable fundraising program.
Work with us
We welcome conversations with potential delivery partners, people with relevant professional expertise and organizations interested in supporting a defined project.
General enquiries only. This is not a Community Builds application or an urgent-help service.
