DRKNYT / Strategy

Strategy.

Choose a direction you can put into practice.

A strategy can be a complete commission: a clear account of the situation, the choices available and the next move worth making.

Before choosing a tool, answer these questions.

  1. What should become possible?Name what someone needs to be able to do. A new website or application is one possible means.
  2. What are the real choices?Compare improving the existing process, trying a smaller change or building something new. Include the cost of maintaining it.
  3. What will make the next step inspectable?Agree on the result, scope, exclusions, fee and completion evidence before the work begins.

Agree on the outcome before the tools.

Our journal note shows how a focused workflow commission can begin with the process and its handoff. It explains why a polished interface, a connected account and a confirmed result are different things.

The written proposal sets your scope and price. The note’s workflow example illustrates an approach; it is not a claimed client result.
