What the request is intended to solve
The immediate request provides a more capable working computer and time for an orderly shutdown during a power interruption. It supports software development, browser work and documentation. It does not fund the full Dreamlab or the product-manufacturing bench.
Observed capacity
The current M4 Mac mini has 16GB of memory. On October 29, 2026, a short operating sample observed approximately 21–22 of swap. During a 15-second interval, about 54 /s moved in from swap and 45 /s moved out, while reported memory pressure moved from normal to warning. Approximately 33 of startup-volume space was available at that snapshot.
This is evidence of active memory contention during the sample. It does not prove a memory leak, explain an earlier crash or establish a sustained peak requirement. Process memory figures and swap must not be added together to select the new memory tier. The request was revised on October 30 to 64GB memory and 1TB storage. This is a planning choice with additional headroom, not a benchmark-proven capacity guarantee; a representative workload check remains necessary.

Evidence and limits
The revised equipment configuration and Apple displayed-price check were completed October 30, 2026. The amount remains the manufacturer’s indexed suggested retail price. The capacity sample above is dated October 29. No purchase, financing application or equipment installation has been completed through this report. The operating snapshot is a sample, not continuous monitoring.
