DRKNYT requests $4,291.93 in equipment support for one Mac Studio and a battery backup. The computer provides more room for ongoing development, research, browser work and documentation. Backup power provides time to save work and shut down during an interruption.
The selected workstation is an Apple Mac Studio with M5 Max, an 18-core processor, 40-core graphics, 64GB unified memory and 1TB solid-state storage. The selected battery-backup candidate is the CyberPower GX1500U, rated 1500 volt-amperes / 900 watts.

Prices checked October 30, 2026. Apple’s U.S. configurator displayed $3,799 for the selected configuration. The amount is the manufacturer’s indexed suggested retail price. This is a planning request; shipping, actual tax, optional coverage and seller-specific charges remain to confirm. The 6% is an estimated allowance, not a final tax calculation.
Why this configuration
The current M4 Mac mini has 16GB of memory. An October 29 sample observed about 21–22 of swap in use, substantial movement to and from swap, and memory pressure rising from normal to warning. That supports more memory headroom for the concurrent workload. It does not establish a memory leak, explain an earlier crash or prove the replacement’s sustained capacity.
The revised request selects 64GB of memory and 1TB of internal storage. The memory increase provides working capacity; the storage increase provides room for applications, development files and caches. The Max class remains the proposed choice. A representative workload check remains necessary; adding physical memory and swap does not determine an exact memory requirement.
The battery backup is intended for the workstation and selected essential peripherals. Of its 12 outlets, six provide battery backup and surge protection; six provide surge protection only. Published runtime is approximately 11 minutes at half rated load and 2 minutes at full rated load. Actual installation runtime remains unmeasured. It supports orderly shutdown, not prolonged work through an outage.
Scope and next checks
Confirm the seller’s exact configuration, availability, delivery, warranty/return terms and final payable total before ordering.
Check representative workloads and confirm the display, input devices, working drive and backup arrangement intended for reuse.
Confirm the battery-backed equipment, combined load, outlets and required shutdown time, then test the installation.
This request excludes Dreamlab furnishings and displays, production machinery, a dock, external storage purchases and recurring services. The separate $50 TAGD materials proposal is outside this amount. It makes no financing, repayment or investment promise.
Funding progress
The recorded starting balance is $0 raised, as of October 30, 2026. The remaining equipment goal is $4,291.93. This balance is maintained manually; preparing a message, offering equipment or promising support does not increase it. Receipt must be verified before the total changes. Arrange equipment support.
